Sirius Satalite Radio Install

Having some extra coin in my Paypal bank, I went nuts bidding on some Sirius stuff for the yzership! Sirius is/was running a promo where you can listen on your computer for 3 days for free. Man, I can't believe how I ever lived without this!! I want to firebomb the local radio stations which sucked major ass!!

Well, anyway, I got a Kenwood KTC-SR901 and an antenna from one guy on ebay and a second KTC-SR901 and the fm modulator from another. By combining the best of both sets I was able to install and hook up my Sirius in about 2 hours. You can find the receivers on ebay for a penny!

I first ran the antenna wire from on top of the soundbar down the rollbar underneath the rollbar padding, under the carpet, and under the rear seat where my amp is mounted. I mounted the KTC-SR901 receiver next to the amp and connected the power and ground wires off of the amp feeds and connected the antenna wires. I then ran the wire from the receiver to the FM modulator along the floorboard up into the dash behind the glovebox where I mounted the modulator. I then connected the modulators power/ground to those on my stereo head unit. Lastly I mounted the controller to that stupid little cup/bowl/indentation on the dash. I plan on mounting it in one of those Center Pods that Quadratec sells.

It rocks!!! Sound quality is so awesome that I had to adjust my amp/sub woofers as the bass was so low I couldn't stand it! If you love music, especially while off road, you owe it to yourself to get Sirius (or XM)!!!
