'91 YJ

The  yzerYJ is a '91 YJ that had a 4.0/AX15/NP231. The original owner was talked into yanking the drive train to put in a V8. He had a shop install the spring over, threw on some new 35" AT's, and took it to Moab where he flopped it on it's side on the "Launchpad" obstacle on Poison Spider Mesa. He got half way up and the engine died. Since he was running the original 3.07 gearing, he did not have enough rpm's to get it over the top. He rolled backwards and stomped on the brakes in a panic resulting in rolling up the side hill enough to flop it. The hard top took most of the impact. The drivers crossbar, a small portion of the windshield frame and a baseball sized dent on the rear corner were all that was damaged besides his pride. So, convinced he needed a V8 to do that kind of stuff, he yanked the drive train and sold it to a friend for cheap. He then found a CJ with a V8 and D60's, bought it and immediately wanted the YJ gone. I bought it.

The spring over was done right, the front is a HP D30, and the rear a D35. All connectors were unplugged and the only thing that was cut was the  fuel lines. The interior was bed lined and there is no rust anywhere. It came with a new Bestop spice soft top and frame, and black trail soft top and frame, a bikini, a beat Bestop center console, no radio, and the windshield cracked. The inner panel for the drivers door was removed to work on the latch and the hardware for the panel was lost.

I ordered a new set of unbent crossbars off ebay I have a set of 36" TSL SX's on black steelies or a set of stock 235's on stock Jeep steelies for transport. It also has the 7" Warn flares and a bikini. The channel for the tops is gone. I picked up a free '89 XJ 2-door sport with the 4.0/AX15/NP231 that can go with it.

Below is the minor damage from flopping on it's side on "Launchpad" on Poison Spider in Moab. The hardtop was shattered and took most of the force of the impact.
